Enterprises using NetLib’s Encryptionizer solution for whole database, column, and back up encryption can now manage their encryption keys with Townsend Security’s Key Connection for Encryptionizer.  The solution is a no-cost application that is included with the company’s Alliance Key Manager.

Manage Encryption Keys for NetLib Encryptionizer
Key Connection for Encryptionizer is a no-cost application that enables Alliance Key Manager to support NetLib’s Encryptionizer for Microsoft SQL Server, a user and developer friendly tool that offers an easy and flexible environment enabling transparent database encryption (TDE), column and file encryption, as well as a flexible API set.

Automatic Encryption for Files and Folders
Enhance the integrity of your organization's security with NetLib’s Encryptionizer, which features automatic folder and file encryption. NetLib's unique solution will automatically protect all of your important documents in just a few clicks.  Using industry standard encryption and key management, users can meet compliance (PCI, HIPAA, etc.) with simple, fast and effective encryption for total data security integrity.

Unique Highlights of NetLib's Folder and File Encryption Include:

Simple Setup The audit log tracks user interaction with the files
Encryption Made Easy Library of commonly used Windows file extensions for easy encryption; easy selection of preconfigured rules for document usage
Limiting Exposure Use FIPS compliant key management to limit your exposure to data theft

Encrypting Data in Microsoft SQL Server
Enterprises can use Alliance Key Manager and Encryptionizer to perform server-side data encryption for Microsoft SQL Server databases and columns. It provides an additional layer of security on top of Windows security and SQL Server security, in case perimeter defenses are breached. It secures data on servers as well as on backup media. Combined with Encryptionizer for SQL Express, Encryptionizer secures distributed databases all the way down to the workstation or laptop. It supports SQL Server (2000-2014), Enterprise, Standard, Web, Workgroup and Express Editions. It is also a cost effective alternative to SQL TDE.

Meet Compliance with Certified Encryption & Key Management
Enterprises who need to meet compliance requirements understand the importance of NIST and FIPS validations. Becoming FIPS 140-2 compliant demonstrates that a product's stated security claim is valid according to legislative security requirements set forth by government agencies for cryptographic modules.

Townsend Security’s Alliance Key Manager solution has been through the FIPS 140-2 validation process. While it is not possible to perform FIPS 140-2 validation in virtual contexts, all platforms use the same FIPS 140-2 compliant key management technology found in Alliance Key Manager HSM and in use by over 3,000 customers worldwide.

NetLib Encryptionizer's cryptographic module offers two forms of encryption, while simultaneously enabling companies to meet this required standard of security protection issued by FIPS 140-2 validation. NetLib received the FIPS 140-2 validation for its Encryptionizer® for SQL Server after months of rigorous testing and procedures.

Alliance Key Manager – Everywhere You Need It
Alliance Key Manager provides full life-cycle management of encryption keys for a wide variety of databases and applications.  The solution is available as a Hardware Security Module (HSM), VMware virtual machine, Cloud HSM, and in the cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure).
